The 2022 World Rallycross Championship (FIA Wirld RX, WRX) will be the ninth season in the history of international rallycross championship.

In general, the 2022 World RX calendar includes 7 stages. However, the race schedule is subject to change due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.

For the first time in world rallycross history all vehicle classes will be based on electric technology.
The RX1 class has been discontinued. It was replaced by the electric class RX1e.
