In 2022 the World Rally Championship (FIA WRC) will be held for the fiftieth time. This championship is recognized by the International Automobile Federation (FIA) as the highest class of international rally. As support races, in parallel with the FIA WRC, there will be offsets in the WRC2 and WRC3 categories at each stage and among juniors at individual stages.

2022 FIA WRC calendar of the season includes 13 stages. However, the World Rally Championship schedule may be subject to change due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Race organizers reserve the right to cancel or reschedule any stage.

  • 2022 World Rally Championship starts in January with Rally Monte Carlo. The season is expected to end in November 2022 at Rally Japan.

Traditionally, teams and crews will compete for the title of champion in the individual competition and the constructors' championship. Crews will take part in cars that comply with the rules of groups Rally1 to Rally5, however, only manufacturers competing on Rally1 class cars homologated under the radical new rules are eligible to score points in the constructor's cup.
