Based on the Z33 Fairlady Z NISMO Amuse created the NISMO 380RS Super Leggera. Having vast experience the team was able to create a masterpiece, which has no more than 300 copies.
The Type 380RS was a road car with a rigid body and improved braking performance. One of the distinguishing features was a well-tuned suspension, a spoiler on the rear and bumpers with aerodynamic properties. The updated 3.8-liter VQ35HR main engine could produce 350 hp. at 7200 rpm and 396.8 Nm at 4800 rpm.
This was made possible by changes in compression and a well-tuned intake and exhaust system. But Amuse decided to go further and reduce the weight of the machine by 140 kg compared to its predecessor. For this, carbon fiber was used as the material of the body and roof, and titanium parts were used in the exhaust mechanism.
These changes entailed not only a reduction in weight, but also an improvement in the streamlining of the body and cooling of the engine. In early 2008, the Amuse NISMO 380RS Super Leggera was unveiled at the Tokyo Motor Show and won the "Shoppingmode Gran Turismo Award" from GT series producer Kazunori Yamauchi.
